Generation X
Biographie
Generation X est un groupe punk rock britannique fondé en 1976. À l'origine, le groupe s'appelait Chelsea et était composé de Billy Idol (guitare), Tony James (basse), John Towe (batterie) et Gene October (chant). Après le départ de Gene October, ils adoptent le nom de Generation X. Generation X manque de peu l'explosion punk-rock mais s'installe rapidement comme un des groupes les plus accessibles et les plus séduisants pour le grand public. Le groupe servira de tremplin à la carrière de Billy Idol qui entame une carrière solo en 1981.
